Universal Pictures defined those responsible for the remake of 'Scarface'. Luca Guadagnino will be the director, while the Coen brothers will take over the script.
In recent years there has been speculation about the possible remake of Scarface , one of the most popular movies of the decade 80 s. Now the portal Variety , in addition to affirming that the reboot will be a reality , it also shares information about those who will take over the project. Firstly, the participation of Luca Guadagnino stands out ( Call Me by Your Name ); will be responsible for directing the Universal Pictures feature film.
For their part, Joel and Ethan Coen will be in charge of finishing the script . It should be noted that the remake of Scarface already had a couple of writers who The draft was written by: Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer, Jonathan Herman, and Paul Attanasio. The Coen brothers are widely known for having written the script for Unbreakable , Suburbicon and Bridge of spies , among others. In the production of the remake of Scarface we find Dylan Clark and Brian Williams, while Scott Stuber and Marco Marabito will be executive producers. Of course, at the moment there is no information on the actor who will stand at the feet of the famous Tony Montana . It is clear that, despite the various film adaptations of the gangster, most associates him with the interpretation of Al Pacino. The fact that brothers Coen and Guadagnino are involved in the film, automatically raises expectations . His career is backed by a fairly respectable resume in Hollywood.
