As I sit and write this the sun is shining brightly into the front window!! What a joy!
Although the rays are somewhat blurred by the dust on the window, it is truly welcome after all that fog of late?
I had a friend ask me about the myth that fog will precede a rain by 90 days. Wow, if that is true for this year, we had better start building an ark!
With the coming of spring, come the first ice cream at the Mini Mart, what a line up!! I haven't had my first ice cream yet, but it won't be long!
We had a busy week with curling in Minot then home for the music festival.
Our entries were down quite a bit this year but we certainly were not lacking in talent!
Such talented young people we have! We enjoyed speech and musical performances from our schools and our youth from the area.
Big congratulations to all the participants for getting up there in front of the quiet audience and doing their best.
Thank you and bouquets to our school teachers and music teacher who dedicate hours of their time to teach our children.
Thank you as well to all of the people who put on the festival. I was a small part of that committee, but it is a lot of work and running a music festival is quite a bit different than a curling bonspiel. I am a bit more comfortable in that field.
Make sure you mark your calendars and join us for the Festival of the Stars, where many of the competitors will show their best to the community. It will be a good show and the kids have worked and would love a full house to perform to.
Well, that's it for another week. I hope you had a great Easter weekend and enjoyed the long weekend, if you got one.
Enjoy the spring weather, I hope it holds and we don't see any more of that white stuff!
Spring has sprung...I hope!
