Well, it's the time of year when people who didn't go anywhere special for Christmas leave for their vacation; it's February break! This year my family and I are going to Toronto, not exactly the most tropical of places, but we have a reason. The King Tut exhibit is coming to Toronto. For those of you who don't know who King Tut (Tutankhamun ) is, he was an Egyptian pharaoh who ruled from 1333 BC- 1323 BC. He was mummified when he died and laid to rest in a pyramid. Like all Egyptian pharaohs, King Tut was buried with all his possessions and wealth like gold and jewellery. However, unlike many other tombs that held rich pharaohs, King Tut's tomb is one of the only tombs that was mostly undisturbed by grave robbers. So essentially I am going to see a really old dead guy's stuff. (His actual mummy is not there.) I have always been interested in this topic and it will be an interesting trip. There is also the CN tower where the higher you go up the more it costs. We looked up the menu for their restaurant to find a bowl of vanilla ice cream costs $12! For $12 they better stick me right up against the window and hand feed it to me! You could get more than 4 litres of ice cream for that price here! Oh well, there are many other interesting things to see in Toronto including the Hockey Hall of Fame Museum, Sugar Museum (as long as they give free samples I'm in!), and even a Shoe Museum (We'll have a hard time getting my Mom out of there!) No doubt there will be many interesting memories from this trip. I hope everyone has an interesting holiday, whether you are lucky enough to be going somewhere tropical, or you are visiting family, or even if you're just at home relaxing.
