Dog saves newborn buried alive by teen mum

A three-legged dog has unearthed a newborn baby boy who was allegedly buried alive by his teenage mother in Thailand.
Ping Pong was seen barking and scratching at a patch of dirt in a field in Ban Nong Kham village when his owner noticed a leg protruding from the soil.
The boy was rushed to hospital where doctors found him to be in good health.
His 15-year-old mother is believed to have been hiding her pregnancy from her parents and allegedly abandoned her newborn in fear they would find out.
'She regrets what she did and said she acted on impulse without thinking it through, Lieutenant colonel Panuwat Puttakam told the Bangkok Post.
She has been charged with child abandonment and attempted murder.
The teen is undergoing a mental health assessment.
Ping Pong's owner said his loyal nature has won over his entire village.
