Kayville -
Former resident of Kayville, Brent Jackle, is seen here proudly carrying the Olympic Torch on December 10th in the community of Blainville, just north of Montreal, Quebec. Brent won the honor to carry the Olympic Torch through a contest run by the Royal Bank of Canada.
Brent is the third child of Lorne and Barbara Jackle, also former residents of Kayville, and the nephew of Robert, Donna, August and Deanna Unterreiner and Marilynn Sillers, residents of Bengough.
Currently living in a suburb of Montreal with his wife Rachel and son Quincy, Brent works for Bombardier Aerospace as a Quality Agent. Bombardier Aerospace is the designer and manufacturer of all the torches used during the Olympic Torch Relay. Working at the plant where the torches were designed and being assembled, Brent had the opportunity to assist in the final assembly of 100 Olympic Torches of the 16,000 being manufactured.
With this opportunity came the right to sign the interior of 50 torches which he helped assemble.
