Grenfell -
On Friday, January 22, Grenfell Fire Department, Broadview RCMP, Indian Head RCMP and Grenfell's JT Ambulance responded to a single-vehicle collision that occurred on the #1 Highway, roughly 1 km west of Grenfell.
The crash involved a west-bound Ford pick-up truck pulling a travel trailer. The truck lost control and entered the center medium, causing both the truck and the trailer to roll.
"It appears as though it was due to road conditions," said Corporal Devin Pugh of the Indian Head RCMP. "It was fairly icy - there was some freezing rain that had frozen on the driving portion of the driving lanes."
A 60-year-old male and a 50-year-old female, both from the Grenfell area, were transported to hospital and later released with no serious injuries.
No charges have been laid, and the victim's names have not been released.
