Pangman, SK -

On May 28th, Pangman area farmers began seeding another crop for the Pangman Charity Farm project - a half section of land dedicated to raising money for Pangman School. Brian Jesse came up with the idea two winters ago when he was thinking about ways that money could be raised to support the school in Pangman.
Land was rented from Ken and Joyce Kaufmann, just South of the Kaufmann farm on Highway #6. This year flax was seeded and all proceeds will be donated to the school.
The machinery and labour for the project were supplied by: Brian Jesse, Dale Colbow, John Colbow, Jack Gerger, John Metke, Chuck Jacques and Elwood White.
Fuel for the project was supplied by the R.M. of Norton. The sponsors to date for the Charity Farm project are: Richardson Pioneer (Corrine), E. Bourassa & Sons, Pangman Co-op and R.M. of Norton."
